Television
Ray Gosling spoke on the theme of life and death, in a programme transmitted by the BBC on 13 February. His words aroused great controversy, and led to his arrest. A part of the film was recorded in the workshops at Crabtree Mill, Nottingham, where we make the Crazy Coffins.
Another serious and intriguing documentary, filmed partly in our workshops, was transmitted by the BBC in September 2009. Richard Wilson presented ‘Two Feet in the Grave’, an examination of the lore and practice of the funeral trade in the U.K.

Exhibitions
Twelve of the Crazy Coffins will be exhibited at the Citadel, in Besançon, eastern France, throughout the summer months. Opening on 20 May, the exhibition ‘Cerceuils Fous’ (‘Crazy Coffins’) also features the themed coffins built by Ghanaian craftsmen, first publicised by Thierry Secretan in his book Going into Darkness.
